June's Second Half

The day after I hosted my get together I had plans to go to a Student Council Reunion. The coordinators were retiring after five years of overlooking student council hence the reunion.

'Student Government'
Treasure, Secretary, Vice P, Coordinator x 2, Public Relations, Marketing, President.

We dropped the ball so many times

But I'm so glad the dynamic is still the same even after three years!

It was such a blast

JEREMY my favourite! (he was part of my team)
Selfies with Krys as she drives!

The next day my friend Leo arranged a last minute farewell get together at his place for my friend Jon! He usually goes back to HK every summer so we usually throw him a one last night in Canada for said year summer.

Till next time Jon :)

Finally the last week of June something really cool happened. My friend Ryan and I always joked about meeting up since he lives in California and I live in Canada. A couple of weeks ago in June he told me he was doing a road trip and I told him he better come here. Friendship of eight years and he better want to meet up! Surprisingly enough he made the plans and it was rad to finally meet him! Especially when you've been friends with someone for so long. It was great because it felt like I've already met up with him before. No awkward silences or anything! We went for Japanese because duh, ate at a local brewery and went to Science World. It was fun being a tourist!
I can't wait to visit him and have him drag me around his city!
Till next time friend~~

Well that sums up the month of June.
I did it though I manage to catch up what I did in June!

Holy June

Time to see what I've been up to in the month of June. I don't think I did a lot in June and I'm saying this base on the amount of pictures I took. That being said lets get down to business...

June 8 I finally had the chance to catch up with my old AEO coworkers: Agnes and Patricia
We were planning this dinner for at least two years and finally managed to meet up.
We went to Brown's and it was a great atmosphere for catching up.

I wished we took more pictures.
Mind my awkward hand.

The next big event in June was my brother, Kevin's birthday! We went to this Japanese restaurant called Ebisu. It's really hard to find a good Japanese restaurant now a days that is 'a la carte.' Good thing Ebisu is one of them!
I wished I was in this picture but I was MIA'ing that night.
I was really sick so I went to the car after dinner to rest.

The next picture I have was my outing with Austin and eventually Lance and Andrew.
Austin and I went to this really cute cafe near her work.
We were supposed to meet up earlier for breakfast but we ended up meeting later as usual.
The plan was to get some food, have Austin practice some blowout hairstyles on me and meet the boys for dinner later on.

(Really wished I took pictures of her doing my hair)
We decided to go for sushi because it was in the middle for everyone at least this location.
Their price is pretty decent and their food is really tasty.
No ice-cream necessary after this.

I always like hosting get togethers. On the 22nd I decided to host a BBQ. Despite the weather being crappy everyone insisted they had a great time.

Again I wished I took more pictures especially with everyone who came!

Stephanie also came back from her three month trip so that was a bonus as well!

Cheese as hell

It looks like I'm going to break this post in half.
I don't want this post to be excessively long!
See you in part deux!

Third of May

Finally I'm at the last week of May! The last week of May was filled with birthdays! Let's get to it!

This was a conjoint birthtday of Maricris and Alexa's! We rented a hotel room and just let loose. It was kinda wild because it has been while since everyone saw each other(including myself)

I find this picture so funny because Karen and I are just holding each other... HAHA

So much love for these girls

Monica and Carlo

With one of the birthday girls!

Birthday girl #2 and Rachel

All the girls!
We cute we cute

The other birthday girl I celebrated with was Jen!
Got her a hello kitty cake because she's very much obsessed as I am!

That's pretty much it for the month of May.
Time for June adventures~

MAY II

I don't think I did anything for the second week of May however the weekend was another story.

May 14 I had to work at the bar but it wasn't as busy so my manager let me go home early. Austin met me after work so we hung out at my bar. Got some drinks, enjoyed the music but we were getting hungry(when are we not) so we decided to feed our craves and go get tacos! We went to this bar called Gringo's since it was so close by.
She got a variety of tacos.
Can't remember any of the names

I got nachos because I was craving them
We ended the night there and went home.
Food coma

The next day we were craving bubble waffles and dessert so we went to this place called T-Mix!

I got original waffles she got the lava cake one.

Strawberry smoothie and Milk tea!
That weekend was food overload!

Moving onto the 18th I went to dinner with Michelle d, Michelle A, Vanessa and Austin. It has been awhile since we were all group. It was rare and definitely lovely to be whole again .

We went to this restaurant called The Eatery.
It's this unique asian psychedelic restaurant.

The decor is really interesting and their lights were black lights.

Chicken Wings

We decided to get a sushi combo!

I can't remember any of these names but they were all  so good!
We then ended the night at Hookah, we popped some of the girls hookaginities.
Sadly I didn't take any pictures there.
I think that's also a good thing no one was on their phone.

As if  I didn't have enough food. For some odd reason I was craving Greek. I made my brother drive us to get Greek after he picked me up from work.

We decided to try this Greek restaurant near my brothers work because he wouldn't stop raving about it.

The dining area is so beach esque
It was cute though

Waiting for our food, the dog filters give me life

Pretty much the part two of May was my weight gain.. Hahaha but really it was filled with good vibes and great food!
See you all around, don't be square.

Outer Peace - AVEDA Review

Hello beauties! Before I continue on my May recap I feel like I haven't done enough beauty post or reviews lately. It has been mostly about my life so I thought I'd change it up and do a review on a skin care product my best friend Austin gave me.

Outer Peace Acne Relief Pads - AVEDA.
She works at a salon that solely uses AVEDA products only.
At that time she knew I was breaking out because of stress.
She gave it to me and said that she heard a lot of good things about this product.

The instructions/for use/ingredients are neatly displayed which I like.
It's straight forward and doesn't use complicated medical terms.

The container is a decent size.
A neutral look to it as well.

Smell: I know some people who have acne problems have a sensitive nose.
The scent isn't overwhelming. It does have a unique smell to it but it's very earthy.
AVEDA products are known mostly to use organic products.
You can tell there's not a lot of synthetic ingredients when smelling/using this.

Application: Easy to apply since you would just take the pad and wipe it all over your
face or on the problematic area. I use an Olay Toner just to set the pH levels back to normal
and then I use this after. It's a refreshing feeling and I find it absorbs and dries pretty quickly.

Results: My problematic area were my cheeks and I found that these pads actually helped.
I can't say for sure the length but I did notice a difference on my face. I want to say my cheeks
were clearing up after a couple of days. However I'm not sure if using my green tea cleanser
sped up the clearing process.

Repurchase?
I don't know since I got this for free however if its reasonable priced then yes I will.
AVEDA products are a little pricey because of their use of natural ingredients.
I still have them to this day and she gave it to me a couple months back.
I find you don't have to use this on the regular(at least I don't).
I should've done before and after pictures.. I will for next skin product!!

Till next time~
