The Basics

Let's take a break from the makeup and steer ourselves towards fashion at the moment. I was going through my pictures and I saw one of my favourite outfits I like to wear.

The Basics
White Sweater - H&M
Skinny Jeans - H&M
Brown Booties - H&M
Black Tote Purse - Long Champ

Talk about variety huh? Anyways something about this outfit screams basic, the only thing that's missing in this picture is a Starbucks drink(just kidding). This outfit is so comfortable and easy to accessorize. Make it a little more chic and add a statement necklace or keep it simple and add a dainty necklace.

I took these pictures sometime in October, it's so weird looking at the length of my hair because it's so long in the pictures. No, I do not miss this length. I'm keeping my hair short forever(5ever).

Anyways I decided to keep it short for today's post and I hope you all enjoyed♥

Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer - MARC JACOBS Review

Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer - MARC JACOBS
30 Invisible

The beginning of January I was inside Sephora just browsing. One of the sales associates came up to me and asked if I looking for anything or needed anything. I told her I was just looking and asked if there were any good products lately. She pointed towards the Marc Jacobs station and showed me the Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Facial Primer.

I had a gift card to Sephora and I wanted to try something new so I grabbed myself the primer! The packaging is so simplistic and slick.

Not only do I love the packaging but I love the bottle as well. The frosted bottle and the white cap makes it super classy. I feel like a true makeup guru (which I'm not) when I have this in my makeup bowl. The downside of this bottle is that it is pretty heavy and I'm always afraid I'm going to break it because of my clumsiness.

I've never really paid attention to face primers. I was always using an 'OK' facial primer: e.l.f. However I would never use it everyday because I hated the feeling it left on my skin and even applying the product on my face felt greasy. BUT with Under(Cover) by MARC JACOBS I didn't experience any problems like I was with the e.l.f primer. The consistency is so light and actually feels refreshing on my skin, My concealer actually stays intact after a 10 hour day. Not to mention my concealer applies so much smoother in comparison when I'm not using a face primer or when I even used the e.l.f primer.
(Don't get me wrong, I love e.l.f cosmetics but some of their products don't really suite my skin. This all based on my personal experience!)

What I really like about this product is that it contains coconut to allow for a better application for your makeup. I was worried that the primer would smell like coconuts and make my face irritated but it is scentless and works well with my combination skin.

I purchased the product for $56.00CAN. It is quite pricey but does a good job for what it's worth!

How to Clean Your Beauty Blender

No one likes a dirty brush when applying makeup so of course the solution is to clean it! There are many ways to clean makeup brushes.. but what about beauty blenders/make up sponge? Well I'm here to show you my technique that I learned from people and videos on how to clean your beauty blenders! I bought these two beauty blenders at Winners, for people in the states its equivalent to a Ross or TJ.Maxx.

Over periods of time they got pretty dirty and the reason why I bought a second beauty blender was because I was too lazy to clean it! However I didn't realize how short and easy it is to clean these makeup sponge in comparison to makeup brushes!

I tried to film it but both my camera and phone are at max capacity in storage :(! Bear with me!

Let's get started!
1. Grab your dirty makeup sponges.
2. Soak up your beauty blenders to its maximum size with water!

3. You'll need soap! Anything is fine from bar of soap, to shampoo. I know some people use baby shampoo to clean their makeup sponge.
Here I am using a bar of soap that I got as one of my presents from a birthday couple years ago.
It's lavender so my beauty blender will smell like it!
(this form is a lot cheaper than the beauty blender cleaning formula)

4. I wished I took a picture of this or a video.. anyways you wanna rub your beauty blender against the bar of soap or squeeze the contents out of the bottle onto the area which has the most concealer/foundation on it.
5. After doing so just rub the beauty blender across your palm and you should see the stream of soap mixed with the brown water(foundation mixed with the water) running down your hands!
6. Repeat till all your stains are gone and after give it a nice squeeze!

Your beauty blenders should end up like this!
All clean and germ free!
It's important to clean your makeup brushes/beauty blenders! This will prevent acne and germs entering your skin via pores!
Hope you guys enjoyed this post ♥

Better Later

Wow it has been a long time since I've blogged "properly." By that I mean posting everyday and being consistent. I have been so busy in the past year and now that I'm only take one course while waiting to get into Nursing I have loads of time. What better way to put that time into doing something I enjoy?
I wished I was one of those girls who possesses an actual talent like singing, dancing or applying make-up/doing their hair really well but I'm not. Just your average female who loves makeup and dressing up whenever the time calls for it.

Speaking of fashion I wanted to share what I wore for my 20th birthday which was months ago.

Put Together
White Tee-Shirt Dress : XXI
Copper Collar Necklace : Ardene's
Sleeveless Long Blazer : XXI
Gold Watch : Michael Kor's
Black Tote Purse : Long Champ
Black Booties : Lita's - Jeffrey Campbells

I don't know why I called this 'Put Together,' I guess cause it was my birthday, another year older I wanted to look mature. Sadly I'm still the same regardless of my age.

Hope you all enjoyed my outfit and cheers!
*fingers cross that I'll actual keep to this blogging everyday*
