~SEPTEMBER FAVOURITES~

Why hello there! It has been a while since I've last posted. I know I said in my previous posts that I would blog on the daily but it has just been so hectic! At least I have some free time right now to do some blogging. Which means I will be posting here and there! I am hoping for it to be consistent before I go back to school, in the New Year. With that being said let me jump into today's post: September Favourites!

I know it has been a little more than a week into October but the saying "better late than never," applies here. Here are some of the items that I couldn't leave my house without using/wearing.

MORPHE M504 - Large Pointed Blender Brush
This brush is absolutely amazing for blending your eye shadow.
If you are like me who cannot blend for life this brush will be your savior.
My eyes are in the middle of hooded to round, so this brush targets my crease easily.
Order one here

Tartelette in bloom - Tarte Cosmetics
(peep the dirty mirror, it was from the "kick back" or "fall out.")
This palette is so cute and chic!
I love the colours and smell that this palette gives off.
This has been my go-to eye shadow look:
Crease: Smarty Pants
Outer V: Jetsetter
I only use two colours and I blend everything with my foundation powder.
There are so many looks that I created with this palette, so versatile!

LUCAS' PAPAW OINTMENT
Let me tell you this ointment has been my holy grail next to Vaseline.
I use this on my lips, eyelids and neck.
Pretty much anywhere that I have dry skin or when my eczema acts up again.
This ointment is made up of papaya fruit! Has a nice smell to it.
My lips have never seen a crack ever since I bought this product.

Boyfriend Green Plaid Long - Wilfred Free
I absolutely love plaid. I pretty much own like 5+ plaid button ups.
When I saw this at the Aritzia Warehouse Sale I knew I had to buy it.
This is pretty much my go-to "jacket" or "cardigan."
So easy to layer with this article of clothing.

Well there you have it! These are the items that made it in my September Favourites! Stay tuned for the next post :)!

SonicDermabrasion Facial Brush by Pretika Review

SomicDermabrasion Facial Brush - Pretika

If you haven't read my part 1 haul post I purchased this bad boy at a local Winners! This beauty tool is a facial brush cleaner that oscillates! It has two speeds and they are both set for 60 seconds to ensure a deep and proper clean!

The nice thing about this package is that it answers all your questions right away ie: "is the product safe in the shower" and yes it is! It's waterproof as mentioned on the box(hopefully the picture is clear enough) and has a silicone guard on the bottom where you would charge the product! Therefore making the facial brush safe to use in the shower!

Like I said I love how the package has all the answers and information on the box without the product coming off as too wordy or boring. Here in this photo it has a nice image on how the Dermabrasion Brush works!

Not only does the package shows how the product works on skin but also states you can use it on a daily basis! Safe enough as it doesn't exfoliate too hard and doesn't strip away your skin's essential nutrients.

Opening the package my initial thoughts were it's very simple which I like! Some beauty tools make it so hard for you to open and a bunch of random crap for you to get through to the actual beauty tool. The product comes with of course the facial brush with a stand, a charger and a replacement  brush head. Oh it also came with a manual like every other beauty product!

Here is what the facial brush looks like in my hand. It's very comfortable to hold and not too chunky or awkward. The size is just perfect and surprisingly doesn't take much room on the ledge of my window shower!

I already used this facial brush a bunch of times and I absolutely adore it. The beauty tool does its job and is useable with any beauty cleanser. I use the Green Tea Cleanser by St. Ives or the Shine Shine Away by Olay and let me just say I've never felt my face that clean in a while! It holds any beauty cleanser really well, not too sure about bar soaps though!

I'm not going to lie I was really skeptical about buying this facial brush however after reading good and bad reviews I decided to trust my instincts and purchase it. One of my concerns was that how would I clean it and how would I replace the brush head when I go through the second one? Well refillable brushes can be purchased on their website as well you can read more information about this product as well. As for cleaning they advise just using shampoo. I like to spray it with a little bit of alcohol to make sure some bacteria and microorganism are gone! However just using shampoo alone does get rid of bacteria!

I was going to save my money and buy the Clarisonic however I'm glad I was in Winners and saw this product! It works and it's so inexpensive! I saved dollars as well as my face!

Thanks so much for reading my review and I hope it was in-depth as possible! For more information about this product please go on their website!

**disclaimer: the Dermabrasion Product was purchased by my own money and review/opinions are from me.**

Cutesy

Checkered Button Up - H&M
Mini Tube Skirt - Urban Behaviour
Sheer Tights - H&M
Over the Knee Boots - Aldo

It was my friends birthday and I wanted to look a little cute but casual at the same time so I thought the button up added the casual aspect and below the waist added a cute vibe to it. I always feel a little cute wearing a skirt.

My face. That is all.
I'm a little red only because we were drinking

Watch - H&M
Rings - XXI
I forgot to include these boots in my haul part 1 but my friend got me these boots for my birthday! I'm absolutely loving these boots! They became a huge trend and I wasn't sure what the hype was about but I'm glad I fell into it.

Haul Pt. 2: MAKE UP EDITION

Part two of my haul is going to be a makeup edition. Why? Well because I've bought a ton of make up that I felt it was necessary to create a separate post just for makeup! Some of these items I've received as a gift because my birthday was actually a month ago!

bhcosmetics - 10 blush palette

I got this palette at Winners and I was amazed they were selling such a thing. I love how this palette ranges from a toned down pink to a nice scarlet blush colour. Gives you a lot of variety! I've also used one of the colours on my eyes for one of my eyeshadow looks and it turned out pretty decent! However the colours are definitely better on the cheeks!

I recently just got into cream contouring after what I've seen my cousin do with this kit on my face.

I got the kit in the shade light!
As you can tell I've already used it before taking a picture when I opened it however I was too excited!

Of course with the cream contour kit you need the powder contour kit to set the cream of the contour!

The package is so cute not to mention the classic Kat Von D design. My brother's girlfriend Jen actually got this for me as a birthday gift, so thanks Jen! She got me the refillable pan kit!

Lately I've been digging the pink/berry tone eyeshadows. After watching lots of reviews of the L'oreal Infallible eyeshadow I decided to give it a try and buy one!

I purchased Always Pearly Pink
I couldn't just get one from this line

This beautiful shade is called Amber Rush. It has a nice subtle copper colour to it!

I did some swatches to see how pigmented they are! As you can tell pretty pigmented!!
First swatch is Amber Rush and second is Always Pearly Pink!

Maybelline Color 24HR Tattoo - Inked in Pink

Here's the swatch for this one and I did it really light. Every YouTube guru and review I've watched said its really pigmented which it is! I only pressed my finger so lightly! I wanted to get this because everyone says it goes so well with the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and it's one of my favourite palettes out of the three I own from the Naked palette line!

For quite some time I was on a hunt for a good drugstore eye primer and lots of people on YouTube recommended the Milani eye primer! I've already used it once and it's amazing. The consistency reminds me of the Primer Potion from Urban Decay.

I wanted to get back into tight lining my upper eyelid, therefore I bought this eyeliner pencil from Milani. I've got to say Milani is a pretty good drugstore product and their packaging is so chic!

Since my e.l.f duo clear gel brush ran out and I could no longer find the same price I bought the clear gel brush for I decided to opt out and try the CoverGirl one! I use this product on my eyebrow hairs to keep it in place because they're too long and on my bottom lash to give it that volume without making it too harsh from black mascara.

Morphe 35F Palette: Fall into Frost
Last week I checked out Morphe's website and I wanted to get a basic palette, well as you can tell by the picture and name of this palette it isn't really basic. I love the shimmered eyeshadows and it's really pigmented! I also love how they kept the last row all matte colours so you can play around with this palette and not have to grab your matte shadows somewhere else. Really useful and the colours are great.

Morphe 35O
I was torned between this palette or the 35F so I got both. Mostly all the colours here in this palette are matte and some are shimmery which I like because you can create a variety of eye looks with only using this palette! I already made a couple of looks from this palette and can't wait to show you all!

Morphe Elite Brushes
From left to right
Morphe Fan Brush E33
Morphe Pointed Blender M504
Morphe Angled Contour E16
Morphe Double Pointed Concealer E25
Morphe Pointed Fluffy Blender M433
Another reason for me going on their website was to check out their brush collection and as you can tell I bought some must haves and ones I wanted to try. My favourite brush has to be the big fan brush cause it's so fluffy and applying my highlight with that feels so great!

Over the long weekend Sephora had a VIB sale from Nov.11 to the 14! Members get 20% off so of course I had to buy a couple of things. Also my mum gave me a $50 giftcard to Sephora which of course encouraged me to shop more.

HudaBeauty Rose Gold Edition Palette!
I bought this palette because I heard so many reviews. It was a mixed review and I decided to trust my instincts and get it because for starters I love the colours especially the textured shadows. A lot of people complained about how it wasn't as pigmented and it was hard to dip your finger in for a swatch or to apply the shadow because of their long nails. I personally have no problems dipping or swatching with my finger and I absolutely love the colours. I haven't played with this palette yet but when I do I'll definitely post about it! Textured shadows are best applied with your fingers!

The second item I got from Sephora was the Tartette in Bloom palette from Tarte Cosemtics!

Hello there's me!
Out of all my eyeshadow palettes I bought this one is the only palette with a mirror which I love. Makes it easier to apply your eyeshadow on the go or in the comfort on your bed. No more going up to the mirror... Right? Anyways I got this palette because of the colours and of course reviews were great! The palette also smells like chocolate!! Beautiful palette overall!

When you order online you can choose any three samples for free so I got a Chloe perfume, YSL one and the Benefit Pore Minimizer.

Well that's it folks! That's all the makeup I bought in the past two weeks! It's a lot and I'm excited to play around with it!

Disclaimer: all items were purchased out of my wallet. Sorry bank account! Also this post is to show what I got, in no way am I bragging!

Take care of yourselves~

Overtop

Jean jacket - XXI
Grey Croppes Mid Turtle Neck - H&M
Coloroid Black Dress - H&M
Black Tote Bag - Long Champ
Booties - H&M

Lately in fashion I've noticed the lingerie/silky camisole over a shirt has become the latest new trend.
I don't own any camisole that is loose enough to fit over a crop top and I remembered I had a coloroid dress that is somewhat loose!

It fits just right over my top without making it looked bunched up and weird.
If you have a loose dress and a crop top try it out!
Tips:
-Make sure either top isn't the same print or material. I wore a coloroid dress and a cotton top. I was going to wear a stripped crop top but I wanted to keep my arms warm because it's freezing over here! You can wear a printed camisole or dress just make sure your top is a solid colour or vice versa.

With this outfit I paired it with my booties from H&M. You can either pair it with sneakers or converse to give it more of a laid back look but I wanted to do it with boots to make it a little cuter!

Anyways that's it for my fashion post, I promise to try and take pictures of my outfits from now on. I just forget sometimes!

Later lovelies~

Haul Pt.1

Hello! I'm here with a haul post... AGAIN! When am I not shopping? It doesn't help the fact that I live near my favourite stores/malls. Today's post I will show my recent purchases from a variety of stores! First let's see what I got from one of my favourite stores: Winners!

This product is the reason why I even went to Winners. I needed a new hair mask and I saw this one! When I look for hair masks I go by two things: the products promises and the smell. By promise I mean if on the label says "promotes hair strength and protects hair colour" then I'm sold! I've already used this and I absolutely love it!

This is a skin care beauty tool by the company Pretika! It definitely looks like a dupe for the Clarisonic! Pretty much the same in my opinion, they're both oscillating tools and works really well! I won't talk too much about this because I have a review post I'm working on!

Ah yes Daisy by Marc Jacobs in ESF. Must I explain why I bought this?

I was amazed that this 10 piece oval brush was still at Winners when I went again. I was so skeptical on buying this but I'm so glad I did! Don't worry I will do a review on these bad boys!

Next moving on my mum and I decided to go to the mall and shop! Call It Spring was having: "buy one get one 40% off" sale so of course my mum was all over that and bought me boots!
I've been looking for a casual ankle bootie for quite some time, especially in the colour brown! Thank you mum!

Best believe I had to check out their accessories collection and these rings caught my eye. I feel like I'm lacking in my rings department mostly because I tend to lose or misplace my rings so might as well restock... Right?

The rings had a 2 for 1 sticker on them so of course I looked for another item that caught my eyes and this necklace just like the rings got my attention. Super cute to add it to a basic dress or even a simple outfit to give it that "class" to your outfit!

My wallet was heavily damaged but not as bad as my next haul post. Stay tuned for my Haul Part Two: Makeup Edition!!

See you all real soon, take it easy!
