February Favourites

Better late than never am I right?

If I were to describe February I would say it was a very pretty month. Let's get down to business.

Kat Von D - 'Lolita'
I  can't believe I got my hands on one of these bad boys.
I literally went to Sephora at least every week to check if they restocked and finally
they did!
I pretty much wear this every weekend when I go out or work.
It's my go to lip product.

"Tapestry Print" Water Bottle
I purchased this water bottle at Stitches as soon as I saw it.
The size of the water bottle is perfect and easy to carry.
Not to mention how cute the print is along with the baby blue lid.

eleanor & park - Rainbow Rowell
Although  I rated this book 3/5 it still gave me the feels.
This book will make you cringe because of the cuteness.. in a good way!
I also didn't like how it ended because it left me wanting more.

Chloé - EDP
I got this for Christmas in December from my brothers.
I would wear it occasionally but in the month of February I started wearing it a bit more.
I am in love with this scent.
Some people say its too strong but I disagree with them.
After a couple of hours they usually say it smells great.

That's it for the month of February. I hope you guys understood what I meant when I said it was a pretty month of February.

Eventful

Hey guys I had yet again a very busy week. I still am in the process of a busy week but I have some down time so I thought it'd be great to blog. Last week I had to pretty much work everyday and every second day I had back to back shifts.

Wednesday Austin came over and we watched: 'Train Wreck.' Then we went for some Chinese Food cause we were craving something salty and deep fried. (When are we not eating?)

We ate at a restaurant called Kwan Luck

Beef Fried Rice

Hot and Sour Soup

Salt n Chilli Flake Deep Fried Squid

Deep Fried Prawn w/ Sweet and Sour Sauce

tee-hee

Always matching with my best friend...
Tory Burch & Michael Kors

Thursday, the seventeenth was St. Patrick's Day and I ended up working a 13 hour shift. It was absolutely crazy but very fun to see everyone enjoying themselves with lots of drinks and each other's company.

♥♣♥♣
Of course I had to take pictures with a couple of my coworkers!
It was too busy to take some with the others.

On Friday after school I hung out with my coworkers and we got some BBT and sushi. I wished I took pictures but we were having too much fun that we were barely on our phones. That night I ended it with Lance and we watched 'Blue Mountain State: Rise of Thadland.' Such a funny movie and I haven't even seen the series. Lance always talks about how good it is.

The next day I worked a 13 hour shift back to back from both jobs, it was pretty much just a typical Saturday night.

On Sunday I went to mass early for Palm Sunday and then we headed for some Dim Sum.

No meat week started on Sunday so it was a seafood dim sum lunch!
Dim Sum is so good.

After that I got ready for my coworker, Nadia's birthday.

♥♥
Wished Androids had better quality
Hahahah love them

I didn't go clubbing with Nadia. John, Yujohn and Patrick wanted to go eat so we finished the night at a pho restaurant. (I wished I took pictures).

Lastly Monday(Yesterday or if you want to be technical two days ago) I went to the gym with Lance and we hung out with Austin and Andrew. We went to Austin's place to get our haircut and to have dinner. We watched the 'Haunting in Connecticut 1.' I was barely paying attention but it was an alright movie for it to be considered spooky.

Finally today I just did a power clean of my room so everything is spotless, I just have to replace the light in my room and everything is good to go. Other than me buying a new bed and replacing my book shelf my room seems great. I'm also planning to finish my flower chains, don't worry I'll take pictures.

I know I keep saying I'll do a beauty post or make up post but my camera is just too crappy and I'm waiting for Michelle to come over and we can film. I'll probably do a February and March favourite post for my next one!

Okay I need to sleep if I wanna function properly at the gym tomorrow!
Goodnight lovelies

Decisions

I feel like I had such a tough last week. I'm going to try and remember what I did since the last time I posted. (No I didn't forget about this blog, I've been busy but I'm trying to keep this a thing!)

Almost a week ago, March 8, it was pancake day at IHOP.
The whole gist of pancake day was you get a free stack of pancakes with donations. I don't think there was a minimum but we both gave at least $5 each.
Originally it was supposed to be Austin, Andrew, Lance and I but Austin and Andrew were too worried it was going to be busy so they ended up not coming. When Lance and I got there it was practically empty and we just shook our heads.

The pancakes are really good despite them for being free. I thought it would just be burnt or dry but it was pretty decent. The blueberry sauce made it 10x better. Pretty much a sick way to start our day.

Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese, Spinach and Grape Tomatoes.
Seasoned with Salt and Pepper
Fried Egg
I tried to make it sound fancy but I didn't achieve that mission. As if the pancakes weren't enough... Kidding this was for lunch. Lance had four eggs with four pieces of toast. Just lunch things.

The next day I hung out with Austin since she got off early and we decided to grab Pho because it was raining and the weather called for it.

Austin's mum suggested we go here and check it out. She said their Pho is very clean and very brothy.

Of course we got the Shrimp n Ham Spring Rolls w/ Peanut Sauce
10/10

Beef Balls w/ Rare Beef Steak Pho
7/10

Beef Steak with Beef Flank Pho

We decided that this Pho place was just okay. We definitely had better. Their spring rolls were delicious though. They even gave us free Pocky with our bill! (better than a mint).

I was feeling kind of low that night cause of certain events and I found out something I wasn't supposed to. That really bummed me out but I'm glad Austin took me out for some food. Food always cheers a person up.

The next day, Thursday March 10 I was still feeling a bit low but I made plans with Vanessa and Michelle because it's been awhile since we last saw each other. We went to my house to make some nachos and cookies.

Shred that cheese

Mashed Avocados

Sour Cream

The end results☺

Love these type of cookies

I wished I got a photo of Vanessa.. Sorry Vaness! Hanging out with my girlfriends was what I needed this week to cheer me up and remind me of my self-worth. The next day I ended off the week with hanging with Lance and watching: "Hell and Back." Such a good movie if you're into South Park/Archer type of humour.

The weekend didn't really help me because I had a 15 hour shift working back to back at my jobs and the next day had an early eight hour shift while wearing my heeled booties. Right now my feet have these juicy blisters that hurt so much. Thank goodness for my brother picking me up yesterday night.

So that's pretty much what went down last week. I couldn't even volunteer because I wasn't feeling well and so down, I'm praying this week will be different since I gained proper insight from my friends and that I can clear my head. Sorry for the vagueness~

Till next blog post, hopefully it will be the Everyday Makeup Look!

Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer - NYX Review

As promised in my last post, today's post will be:
Above & Beyond Full Coverage Concealer - NYX Review

Just this past year I've been getting into the world of NYX cosmetics. Their lip products are absolutely amazing especially their liquid lipsticks. I thought I would try something new and see if their concealers would work well with my sensitive to combination skin. I decided to pick up this bad boy and give it a try.

The package is so small and portable not to mention it has a lot of product despite its size. Very easy to use with a concealer brush and you can blend it onto your face using a beauty blender. I wouldn't recommend using your fingers especially if you're like me who has long nails, the product just gets under your nails and the product is a bit too low to dip your finger in it. I ended up having to press down quite a bit.

If you didn't understand what I was saying in the last bit I took a picture of it before I used the concealer. Notice how the product starts really low from the seal? That's what I mean. I also love how NYX has that seal. It ensures sanitary and that the product has not been tampered with.

I got the concealer in CJ04 - Beige. It was super easy to put onto my face and it blended really well. Although it was hard to blend it on top of my green concealer since it wasn't liquid. After a couple of uses I realize my acne was starting to act up and of course I didn't use any new products other than this, the culprit had to be the Above & Beyond Full Coverage. Since the package does advertise full coverage it did feel kind of heavy on my face which I'm not fan of.

The product costed me $8.00CAD which isn't too bad however because of what it did to my face I wouldn't buy another one. In fact I returned it!

Thanks for reading and hope you guys enjoy the rest of your week!

Hectic

The past  couples days were spontaneously frustrating and because of that I wasn't able to blog till.. well now.

I was pretty much doing errands all day Sunday and trying to recover from my graveyard shift so I ended up sleeping pretty early on Sunday because I was just so tired. Green tea wasn't enough this time unfortunately.
Monday I had quite a few plans lined up for that day. I grabbed breakfast with Austin at this cute cafe called 'Cafe Medina'
I got the: Harissa "Burger"
It was so good, hit every spot in my stomach and palate

Austin got the: Cassoulet

Both dishes were filling and it left you with a satisfying feeling and thankfully not the heavy type. After filling our stomachs we parted ways because we both made different plans for the night. I went to hang out with my friend Stephanie because she's leaving the country for 3 months and 3 months is a long time. However before going there my car had a little problem.

I thought my car was leaking oil and I was freaking out to Lance(because he's a car guy).
I ended up calling him and he was instructing me on how to check the oil level and to see
if my car was just leaking water.
I got my brother to help me out with this and we sent that to Lance.
Apparently my oil level was fine and it was just something else since the fluid light appeared on my dashboard. He said it might be water and I have to watch out for the temperature of my engine but I had no idea. I forgot to mention Michelle was with me this whole time and she was just snapchatting the whole thing and freaking out to Vanessa and Stephanie. (Sorry Vanessa, I dun goofed) I decided I would drive my car to get some Chinese food and head to Stephanie's place because we really wanted to see her. When I got to the restaurant I checked to see if there was any fluid trails and I saw one. I ended up calling Andrew and asking for help because he's another car enthusiast and he told me to check the colour of the fluid but my eyesight fooled me. The fluid trail that I thought was coming from my car was just a crack on the pavement. Michelle face palmed so hard and I went crazy on my car. Long story short my car was perfectly fine... Although I'm getting Lance to check it when I get the car next time.

Michelle and I completed our mission in reaching Stephanie's place despite the "car troubles." It was nice seeing her the night before she left. She's backpacking across Asia and Stephanie if you're reading this have a freakin' blast over there! Hope this trip relaxes you!
So I thought things were going pretty smoothly until I got a phone call from my dad saying he was going to the hospital and of course I was freaking out. We left her place and I was waiting for his phone call to come and get him. Everything is all fine it was a minor nerve problem for him.. Thank God♥.
As if the start of my week could go any better I got hit with this nasty stomach bug on Tuesday morning shortly after Michelle left to go home. I'm thinking maybe she gave me it? Kidding Michelle. I literally stayed in bed for the entire day. Gravol and Immodium plus Gingerale were my saviours.
Wednesday was better I ended up hanging with Lance and we had a good gym session but I think Wednesday's gym session went to waste because
Wendy's heaven
I was still trying to recover from my stomach bug so I didn't know if I should've been eating this but oh well. My family and I enjoy pigging out.

On Thursday Austin and I grabbed sushi because the cravings were mad real.
The menu cover is so cute
Their plating is 10/10
Inari Roll, Beef Teriyaki Roll with Crunch Roll

Calamari Roll with Salmon Maki

Ebi Sunomono

Sashimi Appetizer

I'm only noticing now that I eat out a lot.. Or I just spend way too much money on food. This is why I can't be skinny. I guess I just have to gym harder.
Yesterday I had school as usual and I decided to cook dinner. I made Spinach Mushroom Lasagna Rolls. It turned out pretty well. I'm sad I didn't take a good picture of it. I saw the recipe on Tasty and had to try it. Worked out since we couldn't have meat yesterday #Lent. To finish the day I hung out with Lance and Austin♥.
(how many times have I hung out with Austin or Lance?)

That's why I couldn't blog till now! I was busy stuffing my face with good food or dying from the stomach bug I got. I'm all better and I got blog topics lined up for this week!
